Let the Madness Begin!

Oh yes, it's that time off year again.  Buzzer beaters, 5-12 upsets, Bill Rafftery's irish flu, Digger's matching ties and highlighters . . . you gotta love it.  So who do you have in your office pool.  Any first round upsets?  What about your final four?  And who's gonna cut down the nets in Detroit?  Could be a big year for the Big East, especially if Johnny Flynn has anything to do with it.  Should be a fun couple of weeks.  Onions!

Hi Craig. Hope you are doing fine. No comments on the World Baseball Classic?

Greetings Rodolfo! Sorry about that, but feel free to chime in on the WBC here or on the above posting. As of this moment, it's looking like a Korea/Japan final unless the U.S. can rally. Still seems like the Netherlands knocking the D.R. out of the tournament is the biggest story. Though that may be replaced by an all-Asia final.

Siena seemed to be the most exciting story of the first weekend, with that great 2 OT win vs. Ohio State and a late lead over Louisville. Plus that Rossiter kid looks like McLovin' from "Superbad." Nice. Otherwise, a lot of close games, but no huge upsets. Pitt's making it look difficult. Ty Lawson seems to be getting healthy. And UConn & Syracuse cruised rather easily into the Sweet 16.

Nova/Duke and Okla/Syracuse strike me as the best games in the 16.
