Fantasy Baseball

This thread is primarily for those in our Fantasy Baseball League, California Penal. But if you've got something to say, be my guest!

So, what do you guys think about B. taking J.J. Putz as the FIRST PICK OF THE DRAFT???

I thought a Putz would fit well on the Clams roster. Actually, I didn't realize he was first on my pre draft rankings. When I was moving my players around(hey now!), the screen scolled down a bit and I thought I had Arod at the top. Looks like the Clams have 3 top closers this year.

I'm curious to see how the Clams do given the pitching-heavy makeup of the team. I'm actually surprised that your offense ended up half-decent despite the fact that you took all pitchers first. If you win (or nearly win) all the pitching categories, you wouldn't need a great deal of offense to win the whole thing. Interesting . . .

Also, the Putz pick drew the best reaction to the start of a draft that I've ever seen. It was rather hilarious!

I like the picture of Putz! Just look at the intensity in his face!! He knows he's a memeber of The Clams!!!!

Wow, is Putz fierce! If I had only known of his pictoral ferocity, I may have wanted to draft him first as well. . . . Well, maybe not.

FYI: Yesterday we ordered the MLB package through COX cable. After rigging the computer into the tv to watch Mets games (which was perfect for last year, since we started 1/2 way through the season), we crunched the #s and realized the cable package was only a bit more each month. The channels show up on the 31st. And I'll be up at 6am with veggie hotdogs and a bud light to watch Tuesday's start (on ESPN?), cause I can't friggin wait. C. says he'll be at the gym trying to work of the easter weight we expect to pick up in Queens. loser.
