My Super-Sweet 16!

We're down to the Sweet 16.

1UNC vs. 4WSU, 3L'ville vs. 2Tenn, 1KU vs. 12'Nova, 3Wis vs. 10Dav, 1Mem vs. 5MSU, 3Stan vs. 2Tex, 1UCLA vs. 12WKU, 3Xav vs. 7WVU

Some pretty big upsets in the West & Midwest regions. The East & South are going pretty much to form.

Any comments/predictions/upsets? Post them here!

If anyone thinks there's any successful strategy to picking these games, you're kidding yourself. To think, for example, that there are 3 Big East teams left - none of which are Georgetown, Pitt, UConn, Notre Dame, or Marquette - is downright unpredictable.

Still think Kansas is the team to beat, especially since UCLA looked a bit vulnerable on Saturday. UNC, however, looks stronger than I expected.

Un-Sweet 16 related, but did anyone see Syracuse's collapse against UMass in the NIT on Tuesday nite? They blew a 22 point lead in the second half and it was AT HOME in the Carrier Dome. They have some talented players, but are severely lacking in the discipline and guts departments. Where have you gone Gerry McNamara?

Wow! Did you guys see that WVa-Xavier game? Raftery yelled "Onions!" at the end. Xavier won in overtime. The Drake called it right as the most exciting game to watch of the sweet 16.

Will it be four #1 seeds? We're halfway there with UNC and UCLA.

I think the Davidson run ends today, but believe that Texas will get in the way of Memphis making it 4 for 4.
