This week the Preachers will wrap up the WBC and preview the AL - all in a tidy 90 minutes! So will the Rays defend the penant? Will they even make the playoffs in the seemingly loaded AL East? Can the Yanks spare A-Rod for a month or so? How many wins for C.C.? Will Ortiz rebound sans Manny? How about the Angels without K-Rod? Are the A's poised for a run? And what of that AL Central? Will the Twins emerge from the pack or will the Tigers - and their Venezuelan duo of Magglio and Miguel - make up for a disappointing '08? (By the way, though we don't think that's Hugo Chavez crossing the plate, we can't be certain.)

In case some of you reading this haven't "friended" me on facebook, I promise to recap on the Tuesday show the thread that has been going on my facebook page for the past two days about the WBC. Heated debates abound!
I thought last night WBC final was pretty exciting. Still not too sure why Korea decided to pitch to Ichiro in the 10th with 2 men on. But a good game all in all. Small ball seems to be where it's at in the WBC!
I saw this "team breakdown" on the Onion, thought it was pretty funny: http://www.theonion.com/content/infograph/world_baseball_classic_team
The whole AL, plus WBC, all in one show!!??
Copious wins for CC, but I still think they're wildcard, at best. Ortiz continues to age. The Angels won't miss KRod, but they will miss Tex a lot. Yes, the A's are poised, but the division's wide open. The Twins are in trouble unless Mauer gets his back figured out. He's their MVP, even though Morneau gets the votes (you may have noticed: he only gets votes if Mauer is getting on in front of him). The Indians win the central, but the Royals make a run out of the basement.
